“Leadership is not a person or a position. It is a complex moral relationship between people, based on trust, obligation, commitment, emotion, and a shared vision of the good. Ethics, then lies at the very heart of leadership.”
Joann B. Ciulla, Ethics: The Heart of Leadership.
Overview
Issues of ethics and leadership are delicate matters. They need sensitive and confidential attention. Anderson & Tyner assists non-profit leadership with identification, definition, and strategy on a wide range of ethical and leadership matters with the objective of improving the institution’s ethical and leadership environment. The firm works with each client to assess its needs and to provide client specific solutions. There are no cookie-cutter recommendations or silver bullet solutions. Rather, there are thoughtful and sensitive work plans, informed by both theory and practice. All recommendations and plans are reviewed in detail with each client.
The members of the firm are familiar with the grand ethical theories which inevitably inform our work. But, we are more interested in applied ethical decision making that leads to practical solutions for the difficult right v. wrong and right v. right ethical issues that exist at all levels of an institution.
