Professor Daly is a nurse and philosopher who teaches undergraduate and graduate nursing students, medical students, and bioethics students at Case Western Reserve University. As Director of Clinical Ethics Services at University Hospitals of Cleveland, she provides direct consultation to patients, families, and professionals in the fields of clinical ethics and end of life issues. Professor Daly leads an active research program, often collaborating with faculty members across the University, on issues centered on the care of patients facing life-limiting illnesses and their family caregivers. She has published extensively and is a frequent speaker on ethics and end of life decision making. Professor Daly is a Fellow, American Academy of Nursing, and has received numerous awards and honors for her teaching and research.

Robert P. Lawry

Professor Lawry taught courses in professional responsibility, ethics, jurisprudence, and criminal law over a thirty five year career at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. In 1978, he co-founded The Center for Professional Ethics at CWRU. Professor Lawry is a frequent lecturer, workshop presenter, keynote speaker, and media commentator on diverse issues of professional and personal ethics. In addition to writing on the relationship between and among language, literature, ethics, and the law, Professor Lawry is also a published poet.
